Peace IV Recording Lived Experience

Tenders are sought from suitably qualified persons to record and document the experience of families whose loved ones were killed during the conflict and were members of the GAA.

The project will focus on the role the GAA played in the lives of those killed and their families. It will draw out common themes of experience and be expected to contribute to wider understanding of conflict and harm.

The project is expected to last between January 1st and August 30th 2022 and record the narratives of approximately 30 families.

Successful applicants will demonstrate

  • Proficiency and ability in recording victims and survivors of the conflict
  • Proficiency and ability in publishing records of witness testimony
  • Excellent understanding of the themes and patterns of the conflict
  • Excellent understanding of the needs of victims and survivors
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the history of the GAA
  • A commitment to the core values and objectives of Relatives for Justice
  • A willingness to participate in training on good practice

Applicants should provide a copy of their CV and an accompanying letter which should include the applicant’s ability to meet the above essential criteria and an outline of how this project will be approached by the applicant.
